HE Received a Delegation from Bouar Hospital Staff. Hasbani: I Signed the Payroll To Ensure the Continuity of the Public Facility
Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani received today a delegation from the Staff Committee of Bouar Governmental Hospital that brought the financial, administrative and social problems the staff members are encountering since they are not receiving their salaries on a regular basis.
Minister Hasbani assured them that he is deploying tireless efforts to ensure the continuity of Bouar Governmental as an important Public medical facility for Kesrouane, Jbeil and their residents. He added that they have received from the Council of State a Decision on the suspension of the decision taken by Former Health Minister Wael Abou Faour to appoint a committee for the Hospital Administration, and another decision from the Bank of Lebanon and the guarantors on their abstention from cooperating with the committee of which the appointment has been brought to a halt by a judiciary decision. We have submitted to the Council of Ministers four weeks ago a draft decree to appoint a new Board of Directors. However, this has not been included on the agenda yet and we are still waiting for its inclusion.”
Health Minister signed before the delegation the payroll of the employees saying: “ I am taking this step today to ensure the employees’ interests in these hard circumstances, and I hope that the Council of Ministers approve the appointment of a new Board of directors in its earliest session to ensure the stability and continuity of Bouar Governmental Hospital and handle the affairs of its employees and patients.”
After the meeting, Hasbani made a statement in which he praised the responsibility and humanitarian assistance the employees have showed in their work, assuring that he is working on the development of a plan to improve the hospital. He referred to the need to remove legal ambiguity about its administration, which prevents from ensuring aids or financial assistance from donors.
