Health Ministry Publishes Drug Price Index and Ensures the Reduction of Prices
The Information Office of the Ministry of Public Health issued the following statement:
The drug price index was issued last week and published on the Ministry’s website www.moph.gov.lb. The index showed the reduced prices of hundreds of drugs and was immediately implemented by pharmacists.
In order to ensure greater transparency, and in response to some citizens’ reviews, the Ministry will publish next week a detailed list of the 913 drugs of which prices were reduced by 29.6 per cent.
The Ministry calls on the citizens to dial the hotline 1214 or go to the website of the Ministry for any complaint or clarification. The Pharmacy Inspection Department will conduct periodic examinations or in response to any complaint filed to ensure the proper implementation thereof.
