Launching of the One Stop Shop for Administrative Procedures in Presence of OMSAR Minister
 
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani highlighted during the launch of the One Stop Shop the importance of cooperation for the development of the country. The one stop shop that was unveiled in the presence of the Minister of the State for administrative reform Inaya Ezzedine helps the citizens submit their applications and receive a sms upon the completion of the transaction. This came within the context of promoting the digital services at the Ministry of Public Health.
 
Hasbani noted that the Ministry is the first to implement the first steps to achieving e-government’s vision. All the MOPH transactions are submitted through one counter, where they are electronically registered. The citizen receives a registered electronic number for his transaction, which will be automatically followed up on within the Ministry.
“When the transaction is completed, a sms is sent to the citizen informing him when and how he can receive it. This would save effort and help the citizen avoid traffic,” said Hasbani.
 
Deputy Prime Minister noted that when e-government is applied in Lebanon, the gross national income will increase by one billion two hundred million dollars, bribery and corruption will be reduced by 800 million dollars yearly, not to mention the improvement of the performance of the state and the society.
 
The Minister of the State for administrative reform Inaya Ezzedine noted with satisfaction the launch of the one stop shop for the administrative transactions, stressing on its importance in overcoming hinders, improving quality and reducing costs. Ezzedine stated that the ministry would spare no effort to develop a national plan towards the digital e-government.
