In the context of the promotion of Primary Health Care and the improvement of the quality of services provided to the citizens, and in a bid to complete the Accreditation Programme the Ministry has started to implement since 2008 in collaboration with The Canadian Accreditation Body, a Canadian delegation from the International Foundation for Accreditation is visiting Lebanon to examine the work of the Primary Health Care centers on the ground after the assessment they have carried out and the intensive training courses prepared by the Ministry and the Canadian Foundation for these centers, especially that priorities in which Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani is involved were geared towards Primary Health Care to provide the citizen with better services...

Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani stated that the Ministry will soon launch a smartphone application that enables Red Cross volunteers and regular citizen while aiding patients to spot hospitals located nearby in the region, which are available for the admission of the case they are aiding. Hasbani noted that the user of this application will be able to see on the map before them the locations of all the hospitals in the region and know the exact number of beds available in each hospital according to specializations as well as the closest road to reach that hospital. He added that “the application will be launched in Beirut and Mount Lebanon in a first test before updating and applying it in all Lebanese territory. “

Hasbani examined drug factories in Jadra, Chouwaifat and Jamhour: These factories have proved successful and we are working to register the Lebanese drug in the foreign markets.
