أعلن وزير الصحة العامة في حكومة تصريف الأعمال الدكتور حمد حسن أن "اللجنة العلمية في وزارة الصحة تتجه، في ظل الارتفاع الكبير في أعداد الإصابات بكورونا، لتوصيات ثلاث سيتم عرضها على لجنة كورونا الوزارية التي ستجتمع في السرايا: أولا: الإقفال العام لمدة أسبوعين قابلة للتجديد بحسب المعطيات التي يتم تسجيلها ميدانيا، ثانيا: التشديد على زيادة عدد أسرة العناية الفائقة في المستشفيات الخاصة التي تلكأت منذ عشرة أشهر عن أداء واجبها الإنساني والوطني، ثالثا: الطلب من الأجهزة الأمنية التشدد في تطبيق إجراءات الوقاية واقتراح فرض غرامات لمن لا يلتزم الكمامة ومنع الاكتظاظ، وبحث قابلية إقفال بعض المناطق إذا لم تكن هناك إمكانية لإقفال البلد كله"...
