Hasbani Representing Aoun on the Opening of the Order of Nurses Conference
 
NNA- The Order of Nurses in Lebanon opened its second international conference on the International Nurses Day on May 12, in collaboration with the International Council of Nursing ICN for the first time in Lebanon under the title “Nurses leading the vision of Global Health”, under the patronage of the President of the Lebanese Republic General Michel Aoun represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani at Hilton – Habtour in Sin EL Fil. The opening was attended by Deputy Basem El Chab representing Prime Minister Saad El-Hariri, Dr. Melhem Haddad representing Army Commander General Jospeh Aoun , Brigadier General  Ibrahim Hanna representing Director General of Internal security Forces Major General Imad Osman, WHO representative Dr. Gabrielle Riedner, Head of Private hospitals Syndicate Sleiman Haroun, a number of health syndicates and orders in Lebanon, Orders Of Nurses from neighboring countries,  Directors of Hospitals, deans and directors of nursing faculties, national and international associations and organizations, in addition to nurses from Lebanon and around the world.
 
Yazbeck Doumit

The opening started with a statement delivered by Dr. Nouhad Yazbeck Doumit who stressed the importance of this conference at the national and international levels and as to the position of Lebanon on the world health map.
Dr. Doumit highlighted also the “the importance of the role of nurses in the implementation of the strategic plan of the MoPH, in particular the universal health care coverage.”
